Will not harm brass, bronze, copper and other soft metals used in synchronizers, bushings and other components typically found in classic manual transmissions and transaxles from Richmond, Borg-Warner, Muncie, New Process, Saginaw, etc. Richmond GL-4 Multi-Purpose Petroleum Gear Oil contains no friction modifiers. It can also be used in automotive, light and commercial truck heavy duty differentials, where applicable. It is not compatible with synthetic oils or additives.
